Exam ResultsIf any candidates are unaware of their Candidate Number or Results Access Code, they can be found in the following three places :
1 The attachment in the SII Exam Registration e-mail that was sent on the date that the examination booking was made;
2 The Automated Reminder e-mail that was sent two weeks prior to the examination date;
3 The Results Access Code Reminder e-mail that was sent on the day of the examination.

Exam Results Explained
Please see the guide below for an explanation of your grade :
All examinations except Diplomas
PC - Pass with Credit (within 10% of full marks) (PC not applicable to Certificate suite)
P - Pass
F1 - Marginal Fail (within 10% of pass mark)
F2 - Fail
Diplomas
A - Distinction (Likely to require at least 80%)
B - Credit (Likely to require at least 65%)
C - Pass
D - Marginal Fail (Within 3 marks of the pass mark)
E - Fail (30% to Grade D boundary)
U - Unclassified (Less than 30%)
Please note, results will not be released, nor certificates dispatched, until a candidate has completed a Qualification Registration Form (QRF). It is essential that the form is completed prior to the examination sitting. Please complete the form online at (link to QRF) and allow 24 hours for processing.
Results letters and certificates
SII official results letters and certificates are dispatched within 14 working days of the examination sitting to candidates who have completed a QRF form. Candidates who do not complete a QRF will not receive a certificate until one is completed. Candidates who do not notify the Institute that they have not received their certificate within 2 months and 14 working days of the published result date will be required to pay a fee of £30.00 to attain a copy.
Replacement certificates
Please note all duplicate certificates are issued stating 'DUPLICATE'. The fee for a duplicate certificate is £30.00.
Pencil and Paper exams
Certificates are dispatched within 14 working days of the examination results being released to candidates who have completed a QRF form. Please refer to the results release dates on the website.
Performance reviews
Performance reviews are only available to candidates who have been unsuccessful in an examination. They cost £30 each. Please go the Candidate Performance Review page for details.
Candidate performance reviews are a free benefit for employees of SII Corporate Member firms. Please visit the Corporate Members section of our website for details.
Candidates participating in the SII CPD Scheme will automatically be allocated the appropriate hours for the duration of the examination, on delivery of their results. An examination pass entitles the candidate to receive quadruple the original examination hours, in recognition of the preparation needed to pass an SII examination.
