It equips individuals with an overview of the financial services industry and its regulation as well as providing a detailed understanding of their particular industry The International Certificate in Financial Advice is a quality benchmark for firms to ensure that their financial advisers understand the fundamentals of financial advice. It is a global qualification, providing staff with a specialist qualification that reflects the knowledge and skills base required to advise private clients The Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ) is aimed at new and existing investment professionals specialising in Sharia’a compliant finance, trade, investment and insurance. The IFQ is a practical Islamic banking qualification that also covers the legal aspects of Sharia’a which underpins all Islamic contracts The Certificate in Corporate Finance is aimed at individuals working in corporate finance and related areas, such as venture capital, who need to demonstrate a sound understanding of both regulatory and technical aspects of the subject. The SII Certificate programme is for individuals advising and dealing in the securities and derivatives markets or managing investments who need to obtain Approved Person status from the Financial Services Authority (FSA) The Advanced Certificate programme offers staff a range of post benchmark qualifications in the areas of Operational Risk, Global Securities Operations and Investment Schemes Administration The Diploma in Investment Compliance qualification will appeal to compliance professionals working in the securities and investment industry. The Diploma in Investment Operations is aimed at individuals working in operations and/or administration who are seeking to develop their professional and technical skills as operations specialists in the financial services industry The Diploma is the SII’s senior practitioner programme offering a choice of subjects in areas such as securities, derivatives, compliance and operations Under Development
