Prior to booking an SII exam candidates should note the following information which may affect their ability to transfer exam bookings.
While candidates are advised to make their examination booking as early as possible to be assured of obtaining their chosen examination date, candidates should ensure that they will have had sufficient time to complete their studies.
We would strongly advise candidates not to book an examination shortly before any syllabus updates. Please refer to the published syllabuses.

Exemptions
Candidates may seek exemption from a limited number of exam modules.
In the Certificate Programme exemption is generally restricted to FSA Financial Regulation or Unit 6 - Principles of Financial Regulation.
In the IAQ™, candidates with eligible qualifications may seek exemption from EITHER Unit 1 - Introduction to Securities & Investment OR FSA Financial Regulation, but normally not both.
In the SII Diploma, candidates with eligible qualifications may seek exemption from one module.
