CPD is at the heart of SII membership. Our professional benefits are all designed to help instil, maintain and further knowledge.
CPD Opportunities Provided by SII

Active Learning
Attending an SII Training Course, Conference or CPD Event
The Securities & Investment Institute runs a programme of free-to-members lectures in both London and the regions. All SII conferences, workshops and CPD events are allocated a number of claimable hours dependent on the type of event. The appropriate hours are automatically allocated to the member's CPD logs within 48 hours of the event taking place.
Attending an SII Professional Interest Forum(PIF)
Professional Interest Forums (PIFs) are discussion groups open to members of the Securities & Investment Institute. Meeting on a regular basis, they enable members to meet and discuss topical issues with others working in their area of the financial services industry. Members are automatically allocated 1.5 hours to their CPD logs for attendance and participation at PIF events.
Sitting SII Examinations
All SII exam candidates are automatically allocated CPD hours equivalent to the duration of the examination, upon delivery of their results.
