InternationalInternational Membership

The SII has a growing international presence with over 3,000 members currently based outside of the UK. As a result, we are developing international branches in certain regions to meet the needs of our overseas members. The SII has offices in Mumbai, Singapore, Dubai, and Shanghai and a presence in many other areas.

SII membership is available to those working in the securities and investment industry overseas. In order to see if you are eligible for SII membership, you may want to try out our Membership Grade Selector. Simply input your level of industry experience and any qualifications held, to see for which grade you qualify.

Alternatively, general information on the process for joining as a member can be found on our How To Join page. A special international application form is available for non-UK applicants (see below for eligibility).

Many of the benefits of SII membership - such as the many online information and learning resources - are available globally. However, in recognition of the fact that international members are not easily able to attend the majority of our CPD events and conferences, there is a special international rate for overseas membership subscriptions.

Please note that the following areas are still classed as 'UK' for membership subscription purposes:

** Now that S&I Review, our official members' magazine, is available as an online publication, international members have the option to enjoy a further concession on their annual renewals.

Overseas members who are happy to receive our members magazine in its online format only can renew at the reduced rate illustrated above. Those who would rather receive the hard-copy must pay the standard international rate to renew.

Please note that the offer of the reduced rate only applies to existing international members renewing their annual subscriptions: it is not an option when applying for membership.
