Affiliate membership is aimed at support (eg, HR, training, secretarial or IT staff) staff working in the financial services industry who, due to their job functions, probably do not need to achieve industry qualifications.
As people in these lines of work have no need to sit industry exams, it had not previously been possible for them enrol as members and to become actively involved with the Institute. Affiliate membership exists to allow people with no professional qualifications to sample the many benefits of membership, both professional and personal and to provide them with a way into the SII community and to keep abreast of new industry developments.

Affiliate membership benefits both the member also and the member's employer. For just £90 a year, Affiliates receive:
SII CPD Scheme: The free professional development scheme for SII members.
SII Infolink: Free and exclusive to SII members, our searchable online information library.
Regulatory Update: Free, members only guide to changes in UK financial services regulations.
Please note that Affiliate membership of the Securities & Investment Institute does not award any designatory letters.
Applying
To apply for Affiliate membership, please complete the Affiliate Application Form and return it by fax or post to the Membership department.
Affiliate membership costs £90 a year (renewable every 01 April annually) and as with ASI, MSI and FSI membership, pro-rata rates apply. There is no joining fee for this category of membership. Please see the application form for details.
