The SII is developing strong links with the higher education sector by accrediting some universities to offer training for SII qualifications. SII recognises the synergy between some university offerings and the SII’s qualifications and are pleased to be able to offer exemption from some its modules. Centres of Excellence

Centres of Excellence – are a select group of universities, recognised by the SII as offering leadership in academic education, focused on financial markets.
Students who are on a financially related masters recognised by the SII are eligible for a range of benefits to assist them in academic progression
The main benefit available to students at these Centres is that upon successful completion of their Masters programme, they will be eligible to apply for the prestigious SII Diploma which is the UK’s leading postgraduate qualification.

How to take advantage of the benefits available
Step 1 Become a student member of the SII by the first day of the second term in the students Masters programme
Step 2 Achieve a grade A or B in IntegrityMatters
Step 3 Gain a Masters degree
Step 4 Apply for exemption from the SII Diploma
Apply for a membership upgrade to MSI status, OR
Apply for exemption and MSI membership status together at a discounted price
*For BPP Law School apply for exemption from the Diploma in Investment Compliance once Regulation exam is completed

The Stephen Cooke Scholarship Award
The SII created an educational trust to sponsor a number of scholarships for students of financial subjects within its accredited Centres of Excellence.
