2. Why has the Securities & Investment Institute partnered with ACCA?
This partnership has been developed so that ACCA members who work in, or have an interest, in the securities and investment industry will now be given clear guidelines on the SII qualifications and exams available to them in order to assist career progression within the securities and investment industry.
This new initiative, known as ACCA Career Pathways, is being launched by ACCA to help their members enter this industry, progress in their careers and demonstrate their continuing professional development through appropriate SII industry related qualifications.
3. SII qualifications and what they mean for you
As part of this partnership, ACCA has approved and accredited a number of SII qualifications as relevant sources of CPD for its members. This is to reflect the fact that many roles in financial services require individuals to have an in-depth understanding of the industry and the regulations that underpin it.
To make it easier for you, we have identified the qualifications and/or examination papers most applicable to Accountants working in, or wishing to move into, the securities and investments industry. Further information regarding the pathways through our qualifications will be available as a downloadable PDF in September which will provide details at the modular level.
The qualifications/examination papers below have been grouped in order of their relevance to each job / sector.
