Associate Membership
Candidates who complete the Certificate in Investment Administration are eligible for Associate (ASI) - formerly Affiliate (SIAff) - membership of the Securities and Investment Institute.
Go to the Membership pages for more information.

Student Membership
Until recently, student membership has been restricted to individuals studying for the Institute's Diploma. August 2004 saw the category and corresponding benefits of student membership open up to all those registered on any Securities and Investment Institute examinations, and in the case of examinations other than the Diploma, is optional.

Diploma Candidates
As always, those studying for the SII Diploma must continue to enrol as a student member as part of registering for the examination itself. Alternatively, if you have already passed a benchmark qualification you can apply to become an Associate (ASI) - formerly Affiliate (SIAff) - member.

All other SII Exam Candidates
All those studying for the Certificate in Investment Administration, IAC, Level Three Certificates in Investments Programme and ACOM should register for their respective examinations as usual. Candidates will then be sent an email as soon as they are booked onto an examination, explaining the benefits of student membership and inviting them to join.

The Benefits
The benefits are the same for both categories of student membership and include:
· Free Dictionary of Financial and Securities Terms (normal retail price £24.99)
· Four free CPD events a year (normally £40 each for non-members)
· Access to the increasing information resource in the members' area of our website
· Discounted attendance to any one conference every year.

Cost
Pro-rata £55 per annum
