Integrity at work in Shanghai
More than 150 futures brokers in Shanghai attended a workshop on ethics run by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
The Integrity at Work course was provided by the CISI for the Shanghai Futures Association as part of its drive to improve competence. Expert speakers came from the China Securities Regulatory Commission, China Life Insurance, CGOG Futures and the CISI. Delegates debated the challenges posed by real business dilemmas and decided their response
to each situation.
Rachel Zhu, head of the CISI’s China office, said: “It was a great success - attendees were thrilled that the session lasted 90 minutes longer than planned.”
She added that the heads of several futures companies who attended had expressed an interest in delivering the course to their employees.
The CISI has run further Integrity at Work sessions in Greece and Singapore. Kevin Moore, Chartered MCSI, CISI regional director, Europe, led a discussion run by the CISI’s Greek branch at the Hellenic American Institute in Athens for about 35 delegates.
In Singapore, Paul Hedges FCSI, CISI director and acting head of ASEAN, addressed corporate members of the Life Insurance Association.
