The Securities & Investment Institute (SII) Diploma is the UK's leading postgraduate finance qualification and covers the areas of securities, investment, compliance, derivatives, corporate finance and operations.

Aims of the Qualification

The Diploma provides flexibility and choice, enabling candidates to concentrate on areas relevant to their chosen career path. The Diploma is a globally recognised qualification that is available around the world and has no direct academic equivalent. The examinations reflect situations and issues that practitioners will encounter and require students to apply their knowledge to answer case studies, write reports and explain techniques and terms. Completion of the Diploma leads immediately to full membership status, MSI, and is the swiftest route to Fellow of the Institute (FSI).

Candidates choose three modules relating to their primary activities or interests (unless they hold a qualification which entitles them to an exemption, when they select two modules). Each module will provide a high level of knowledge and understanding on the subject together with an ability to use it in a practical manner. Information on the syllabus and examinations for the individual Diploma modules will be found under each subject.
